I live in Rimini and I am fond of ancient civilizations.
I was in Mexico for about a month between April and May 2009.
Armed with good will and a rucksack on my back I visited many Maya sites.
From May 1 to May 3 I was south-est of Campeche,
main town of the same State.
I visited, with the company of a local guide the ruins of Hochob and Edzna.
The guide, Carlos, spoke very little English, and I very little of Spanish: understanding each other was not easy.
On May 3 2009, we were heading towards the ruins of Edzna. While we were walking within the thick vegetation, reflection from a light coming from a fallen tree caught my attention.
I got closer and started to take away leaves, roots, branches which had fell on the ground and were obstructing the way.Digging with my hands the extraordinary finding: two crystal skulls. The excitement was great.
At that point, the guide got agitated and started muttering words. From what I was understanding, he was refering to the Maya prophecies. He did not want the skulls to be removed and my attempt in convincing him that I was going to give them to the local authorities did not work. Regretfully I had to give up.
I made myself took pictures and covered them back.

"It's hard to understand this finding. If it is a true archeological find or a rudimental fake of the famous maya skulls which are preserved in museums.
In such cases, it is right to refer to the local authorities to point out the finding".
